She has a degree in Environmental Science where she specialised in soil science, and a diploma in Garden Design from KLC School of Design, London.

As well as producing many different styles of gardens, from environmentally friendly to sea-side concept gardens, she has worked with other artists to produce an exhibition at Forest Arts Centre, New Milton; Hampshire Open Studios and Hampshire Open Gardens. She has also worked at Fairweather’s Garden Centre in Beaulieu.

In addition, Debby has teaching qualifications which have enabled her to teach evening classes at Brockenhurst College and to work, with the Arts Council, in the Maths Departments at St Annes School, Southampton to help the pupils design and implement a garden in their school grounds.  Recently Debby taught City and Guilds horticulture in Portland Prison.

Debby also wrote for Lymington.com and has undertaken lots of voluntary work at Priestlands School, where she was involved with the walled garden, Eco week and taking the pupils to see Prince Charles’ garden.  Plus she has enjoyed judging for local horticultural societies.
